The Association operates a dedicated website showcasing the very best artists working within the erotic genre. The site also acts as an educational resource for artists, students and educators.
The Association and its members will operate good business practice.
The Association is in no way affiliated to the exploitation industry.
The Association will raise the profile within the media via press releases, events, group exhibitions and through its bi-monthly E-magazine.
The initiation of Artists of Erotica Awards. - Pending
A collective will be able to achieve far more, and be a more powerful voice, than an individual artist working on their own.
Members will be able to use the Association Logo on their Letter Headings, Business Cards and other promotional stationary.
Consumers will have the confidence to purchase artworks protected by consumer rights and an assurance of product quality that an artist’s membership of the association confers.
The Association will operate an equal opportunities policy. All are invited to apply for membership but work will be judged on merit alone without consideration of race, gender or sexual orientation.
Application for membership is via a two part process:
1) Members will be selected by a small panel of their peers from a portfolio of submitted work. The panel will decide upon the suitability of the artists based upon the aims, objectives and philosophy of the Association.
2) Those selected will be put to the membership as a whole for final selection by majority vote.
Artists are invited to submit 6 examples of their work, via email, in JPEG format. Writers are invited to supply extracts of work, poems, short stories or list of publications.
This portfolio will be put before the members without the artists personal details attached. If the artist attracts the required simple majority 'yes' vote from members s/he will be invited to join.
The Association does not charge a fee to artists wishing to submit to the voting process. Membership fee is only asked to be paid if the artist is successful in the voting process, is invited to join and accepts membership.
Please email your submission to admin@associationoferoticartists.co.uk
