The Association is looking forward to the new year and the potential it offers to build upon the successes of the previous year.

Paul and Chris are looking to next years Association Exhibition and are currently investigating venues in London. A short list will be drawn up soon and this will be put to the members so that they can vote on the merits of each and a decision will be made based upon members views.

The Association will soon be launching an annual Erotic Artist Award. It is hoped that this will form part of the events during the 2005 Association Summer Show with its presentation taking place during the open night by a celebrity guest.

In addition 2005 will see regular Association Members and Friends meeting nights.

Chris and Paul are also looking to offer for sale, within this site, artworks produced by members. The Association website would offer a great shop window for its members and investigations are underway on how best to exploit this for members. If you have any views or ideas on this please contact either Paul or Chris.

2005 will see the launch of Friends of the Association membership scheme.

We have been getting a lot of enquiries from artists, outside of the eligible countries group, wishing to join the ranks of the Association. After much debate it was decided that the Association should possibly reflect the wider world of the erotic arts and change its name and that part of its mandate that restricted the countries eligible for membership.

This was put to the members in the form of a secret ballot and the result was a 100% vote in favour of the change.

As of August 2004 the Association name will change to ''The Association of Erotic Artists'' and members from outside the Associations original remit will now be able to submit themselves to the membership voting process.

The Association pleased to announce the dates and venue for our first confirmed group exhibition of 2004. This is to be held at London's Worburn Gallery between the dates 4th July to 17th July 2004.

The Woburn Gallery is situated in one of London's most interesting streets - an 18th century development of terrace housing where the original shop fronts are still preserved, pedestrianised and attractively lined with trees. The gallery is within a stone's throw of a number of large hotels, the University of London, main-line stations such as Euston and St.Pancras, Bus and Underground Stations and the central West End. The Gallery has good natural lighting (front and back), and has been recently renovated and converted.

As many will already be aware May 2004 sees the European Union welcoming 10 new countries into the fold. Of these 10 countries two, Malta and Cyprus, are already eligible due to their being members of The Commonwealth. With this in mind from May 2004 the Association will be open to members from The Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia.

The Association website is now hosted on larger faster servers, with the option to provide visitors new features, supplied by a new hosting provider. Visitors can now access the Association site via the domain name www.associationoferoticartists.co.uk. www.associationoferoticartists.org.uk will still be the official main site address but the addition of the .co.uk domain will catch those visitors that may mistype the URL.

Co-founders Chris Ball and Paul Woods are currently in negations to put together an Association Exhibition in London hopefully for July 2004. They are also both working towards a venue where Association members can meet on a regular basis. Watch this space or your email boxes for more news.

The Association will soon be welcoming 'Friends of the Association'. This will give people, who would not be eligible to join as full members, access to private showings, the magazine 'Nu Blue', parties, events etc. More details to follow very soon.

The Association has just acquired a new web hosting provider. This will allow the Association to build a more interactive site for both its members and visitors and visitors should experience faster page access. This should, all things going well, be available for use by the end of this week - 21st February 2004. The domain name www.associationoferoticartists.co.uk has been purchased to run along with the main domain www.associationoferoticartists.org.uk.

The Association is in the process of setting up a production company to be called Jardín De Nu. This exciting new 'spin off' venture is intended to produce material for DVD's, video, TV programming and much more that will be of benefit to the Association and its members. Watch this space for more news.

The Association is currently talking to a TV company, coming over from the USA towards the end of January, regarding a possible feature on the Association. So we may be looking for some involvement from members soon - keep a check on your emails.
