Alex Marek-Musat
Alex was born in Bucharest, Romania on November 19th 1962. He attended an Art School between 1973 – 1976 and completed his education in 1986 at 'The Polytechnic Institute of Bucharest' studying Mechanical engineering. Between 1986 and 1995 he worked as a Mechanical Engineer for 'The Nuclear Research Institute' in Mioveni, Romania.
In 1995 Alex left Romania and moved to the United States where he worked for five years as a Mechanical Engineer in the boat building industry. Whilst working in the United States Alex discovered the erotic art of Olivia de Berardinis and Hajime Sorayama and their work rekindled his passion for art - particularly drawing and painting...
"Their art works touched my soul and made me resume my old passion for drawing which I had abandoned years before."
In 2001 Alex returned to Romania where he spends his time working on his drawings and paintings and improving his technique.
"With the passage of the time I’ve been more and more attracted by digital techniques. To me the Erotic Art is a hymn dedicated to the beauty and sensuality of women. Painting is relaxation for my mind and purification for my soul."
