Tim Rosier
Tim Rosier was born in 1958 and resides in the UK. He came to photography only recently in 2006. What started as a part time hobby has since grown into an obsession that takes up much of his time.
Tim’s photography is mainly based on the female form, he has always been attracted to fuller figure models as he has been an admirer of the work of artists such as Peter Paul Rubens and Gustave Courbet ever since a visit to the Louvre in Paris. He always looks for curves in his models especially around the hips and tries to utilize these curves in his images.
Tim does make use of studio facilities, but prefers to be out in the environment, working with natural light and also off camera flashguns. He enjoys the challenge of finding old falling down structures to pose his models in, to create the contrast of beauty in a decaying environment, as well as to add to the atmosphere and aid in the story telling of the final image.
